PROFILE

Resume

I received a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science (2003) from Federal University of Ouro Preto - UFOP, Brazil. I finished my Master's Degree (2005) and D.Sc. (2008) in Applied Computing under the supervision of Professor Luiz Antonio Nogueira Lorena at National Institute for Space Research (INPE), Brazil.

I am associate professor in Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES), Brazil, lecturing at School of Exact, Natural and Health Sciences (CCENS) since august 2006.

My main research activities are focused on combinatorial optimization applications with particular emphasis in metaheuristics, linear programming, column generation and relaxation approaches. These methods have been applied to solve different problems such as berth allocation, cartographic label placement, crop rotation, dial-a-ride, forest planning, waste-load allocation, workover rig routing and others.

I have publications in important Journals such as: European Journal of Operational Research, Computers & Operations Research, International Transactions in Operational Research, Expert Systems with Applications and others. Besides, I have been reviewer of several journals such as: Transportation Science, Computers & Operations Research, Omega, and others.
